About Carol Sher
Flowing
from the pens, pencils and watercolors of
Carol Sher, are the humorously flamboyant
characters of Lulu, Mew, Lily and Smooch as well
as a cast of "girly-girlz" characters whose
lives could be drawn from the pages of
“Cosmo.”
Lulu,
the arbiter of style and fine living, grace and
privilege, is the quirky centerpiece of this
family of eccentrics. Lulu leads by example, and
her examples are thick with a joie de vivre
played out in the pages of “Life with Lulu and
Mew” and “Living with Lily and Smooch.” The
ladies with their respective pets live their
lives of comfort, love and of course the proper
applications of wit and self-indulgence.
Once
upon a time, Sher worked as a hospital
technologist by day and as an artist by night.
At one point early in her pursuit of art, Sher
purchased an old school bus, converted it to a
motor home and traveled from craft shows to
Renaissance Fairs with her art on tow.
Eventually with her husband acting as manager
and booking agent they supported themselves very
well and continued to travel. “My dream was to
make art my full-time career. I began
experimenting with china painting and luster.”
She also loved drawing and she found ways to
interweave the two. Lulu and friends are
available for licensing, and as spokespeople for
the elegant and upscale. Sher's work has been
sold throughout the USA, England, Australia,
France and Japan. |
